Good morning Dolls!
T.G.I.F! Today’s post is more or less a FOTD featuring an October Bride of mine. Before we gets started I must issue a quick disclaimer: I am not a photographer by any means! lol I know this… but as a MUA you learn to take a camera with you on jobs to capture images of your work and if you’re lucky you may catch a few special moments that even the photographer misses which = happy brides and better business.
Most of my bridal sessions take place at my clients home or a hotel suite before the wedding. Every now and then a bride may choose to have prep done at the wedding site. This was one of those occasions!! The venue was one of the loveliest places I’ve had the pleasure of doing makeup. It was called the First Lady of Suffolk and was everything I’d want my makeup parlor or boutique to be. High ceilings , long winding stair cases, breathtaking chandeliers, romantic floral arrangements, and velvet vintage furniture. I mean, to each his/her own but to me this place was definitely one for the vision board.
The venue had several cozey almost suite like rooms two of which were set aside for the bride and the groom. I didn’t get a chance to see the groom’s side but hunni the bride’s side was a sight to behold! There were two connected areas that made up this room and the first reminded me of a spread from an issue of better living in the 50’s. It opened up to the room in which I’d be working which was lined with mirrors and had pink walls with black and white marble floors.
ON TO THE FOTD
The colors for the wedding Begonia & Silver. The bride (like most of my brides) wasn’t really accustomed to wearing makeup so she toggled between something neutral and something that included more color after the trial but the day of she was certain she wanted something special on a special day. AND she was glad she did.
What we used:
On the lids: MACs pink shadow in Swish Followed by Rose & Da Bling
In the crease- MAC’s Passionate (mute hot pink), Fig(deep purple), Sigma’s Surrender (burnt red color with purple undertones)
On Lips: NYX Lip liner in Bloom, MAC Candy Yum Yum (hot pink), Rebel (Fuscia or deep pink) & Snob ,
On the face: Concealers from Ruby Kisses and Bh cosmetics. A mixture of Pink & peach blushes from bh cosmetics Glamorous blush palette. Highlight was peachy cheeky from E.l.f cosmetics.
Another non-related tid bit……How cute is that^ lol. Anyway that’s all for today’s rambling FOTD.
