So I tried not to indulge in the current rap battle hype underway between Young Money’s Nicki Minaj and The Terror Squad’s Remy Ma. Mainly due to the fact the whole entire world is caring enough for everyone. .
As much as I’ve tried to avoid releasing my 2 cents there was recently a “side bird” tweet that no one seems to be talking about that struck a nerve in me. I can’t just start there tho. So here’s the beef from A-Z from the best of my knowledge.
Beware There’s a ton of this going on…
Nicki Minaj and Gucci Mane released a song called “Make Love” (graphic lyrics below) which people speculated was to rapper and Love and Hip Hop star Remy Ma. Though this beef seemed inevitable, Remy Ma did interviews previously where she attempted to squash any rumors of beef between herself and The barb Queen. In spite of her attempts it was assumed that the following was a direct stab at Remy ma.
Ay yo, ain’t talkin’ housewives, but I’m in the Porsche
First I’ma scorch her, then I’ma torch her
Then I’ma torture her, then I’ma off her
A million dollars for a show, they made their off-er
Go against Nicki, it’s gon’ cost ya
‘Cause now it’s fuck ya, intercourse ya
I rep Queens where they listen to a bunch of Nas
I’m a yes and these bitches is a bunch of nahs
Tryin’ to win a gunfight with a bunch of knives
I win, get off the bench and give a bunch of fives
I don’t see her
Bitch I’m the greatest, no Kendrick and no Sia
I’m the iPhone, you the Nokia
Everybody know you jealous, bitch it’s so clear
Tell them bum ass bitches to play their role
She see my sexy ass every time she scroll
I got it in the can, Dole
Your career gon’ be with Anna Nicole
Witcha dumbass face
She ain’t eatin’ but I swear she got some bum ass taste
Text her man like, “Dawg, how that bum ass taste?”
Pay your rent! And stay in your bum ass place
Oooohhh, oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here?
One platinum plaque, album flopped, bitch, where? (bitch, where?)
I took two bars off just to laugh
You see, silly rabbit, to be the queen of rap
You gotta sell records, you gotta get plaques
S, plural like the S on my chest
Now sit your dumbass down
You got an F on your test.

After getting wind of the song.. Feb 25th, Remy Ma ran to the studio and released a 7 minute “hardcore”, tell all type of dis record called “Shether” (Click the link to listen if it’s still available) which was recorded over Nas’ Ether beat.
Remy broke the internet with Nicki’s piping hot tea. It seemed like every status, post, and picture from any hip hop relevant blog, t.v show, or fan was influenced by Nicki’s implants “dropping” or “popping” as the song alleged. The Terror Squad Rapper described private events between Minaj and her former beaux Meek Mill which Meek must have shared with Remy at one point or another. Of course, men aren’t supposed to run their mouths and tell their business. That has been attributed to females only. However, Meek showed us that millennial men don’t give a f*$# about having female traits.
The Mayback Music Artist also disclosed that while Nicki was having booty issues, he was denied access to her cookie purse for about 3 months. Why are we surprised? We’re not! This is the same dude that got with Nicki Minaj by telling her that her boyfriend was cheating on her. I guess the guy code was out the window and/or never learned on “the block”.
The dis track tea didn’t stop flowing there. Remy went on to claim that Nicki had sexual relations with several industry names like Trey Songz, YM CEO Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Hot 97 co host Ebro, and label mate Drake..just to name a few. All of which have been collected in a small shady collage below for your viewing pleasure.
So yea, if the allegations are any where near true, Ms. Minaj has been booty popping that manufacture hinney all over the industry and it’s no wonder it’s giving her issues. BUT that’s not really our business. It wasn’t really anyone’s business but but a few people are invested in the tall tell of Nicki’s cookie purse. The Game being one of them.
Mind you, The Game has had a few things to say about Meek Mill over the years. One of the most memorable things he’s posted on social media was that Nicki hasn’t been in a real man’s arms since he let her go. Referring to the Pills & Potions music video.
If you’re wondering this feud began about a year ago when The Game’s crew allegedly robbed Sean Kingston of his jewelry, which was soon confirmed by Meek Mills (allegedly). Now The California rapper takes shots at Meek Mills every chance he gets.
Trey Songz, also mentioned in the dis track as one of Nicki’s lovers, took to Twitter to respond to the allegations. Which maybe he shouldn’t have because Nicki wasn’t really feeling the response. In all honesty, I believe Shether just had Nicki on edge because there was nothing implicated in Trey Songz response that warranted her attitude.
The Shether track has the “Queen” a little noid.
Ebro also chimed in to deny allegations of sleeping with Nicki
To which Papoose, Remy Ma’s right hand and husband replies:
Dj Funk Flex also added his two cents and seemed to be anti-barb and surprisingly coming for label mate Drake out the blue…
Lawd Have Mercy!
While the world was calling for Nicki Minaj’s response to the most disrespectful distrack of the decade, Nicki parlayed in Paris for fashion week seemingly unbothered on purpose. The song was then snatched from iTunes, YouTube, and any other platform Nicki could get to take it down. Remy can also never perform the song or have it played on any radio stations. Nicki implied that the song had been taken down due to Remy not handling the business side of the beef and getting rights to record the song on Nas’ beat. Nas recently put the rumors to rest that he had anything to do with the issue with the dis track proclaiming that he is a true fan of hip hop battles and he wouldn’t have pulled the track.
I personally believe that Nicki has enough clout and money to put an end to an artist’s shine ESPECIALLY if that shine is glistening of the handle of a tea cup that is filled with Nicki’s business.
Before the Barb responded (which took a while), Remy Ma was invited to the Wendy Williams show to talk beef (Click on the link to view a clip). I don’t usually do Wendy, but because I was curious as to what started the whole cat rap fight, I tuned in. Remy showed up to the Wendy Williams show dressed for the funeral of a cartoon character which I found to be super petty and amusing.
The rapper basically said that Nicki has been attempting to shade her by stopping her from getting awards, walking red carpets, and getting people to report badly on her album sales et cetera. Yea, if that’s true….I’d be mad too. Not taking sides, just saying. In “back to back” fashion Remy then went on to release another LEGAL dis track to Nicki minaj called “Another One“. It wasn’t on the Shether level and many say she could’ve gone without the follow up. But, because the first diss was taken down and basically banned from everywhere…Remy had to find a way to stay in the game. Click the Another one link to hear the 2nd track.
There was a sea of unwanted responses…but fans were truly calling for the Queen B- Lil’ Kim’s (pictured in the middle incase you didn’t recognize her) opinion on the beef. She too had a lyrical feud with Nicki Minaj in or around 2014 stemming from what people were saying was a case of stolen identity..
Nicki was clearly influenced by Lil’ Kim’s style but for some reason it’s easier to deny it and beef than pay homage. But that’s another post entirely. Anyway, Lil Kim had this to say about the beef and rumor of her join forces with Remy to get back at the Young money Raptress:
“I’m glad you brought that up, because in the media the other day, I had a show and I hate stupid blogs when they try to take my damn situations and clip them,” Lil’ Kim said. “We all know the situation that’s going on with Remy and ol’ girl. That’s their situation and I have nothing to do with that.”
Response found on BET.com
Let’s take a second to crown the Queen for being pretty shady by not even mentioning Nicki’s name.
There was a 90’s rapper who did want in on the beef, and rightfully so.
Foxy Brown was mentioned in the Shether track and the tea on her was that she had went deaf from untreated gonorrhea. Now, I don’t know how true that is or if it’s even possible. I do know that Foxy is hard of hearing. Obviously, regardless of whether it is holistically true or a half truth it had Foxy running to the studio. She released her 1.5 minute get back snippet “The Break’s Over” to Remy Ma quicker than Nicki could take her next “unbothered” pic.. Listen to the clip here.
Remy responded to Foxy’s get back track in which she spoke on Remy’s recent miscarriage by learning sign language and signing the words “no comment” at a press conference. See the shade for yourself here.
Nicki and Foxy have since been spotted playing bffs. If you want my unwarranted 2 cents on that situation (which seems to be the theme of this whole beef)… Nicki is just clinging on to anyone who is on her side in this midevil mess.
The public has been Harsh (capital H & on purpose) when it comes to the self proclaimed queen Barb’s lack of response to Remy’s diss track. There’s also a back story we’re not getting because when Remy referenced Foxy’s hearing disability she said that Nicki was “talking about her to a deaf bih” which says to me there was little something going on behind the scenes.
Nicki Minaj Finally “responds” to the diss track on March 9th with a track called No Frauds which features Drake and Wayne. She also drop 2 other tracks on iTunes which were at 1 , 2 and 4 last time we checked. Now, No Frauds is a nice song, but it’s not a diss track. We were all a little disappointed that she didn’t go back to the underground , hardcore, hip hop Nicki but hey. She recently responded that she doesn’t do diss tracks she makes hits and disses you one them. W.E you say Nicki.
The fact still remains that Remy came harder than ever and Nicki just wasn’t there for it. She wasn’t trying to battle although Remy’s Shether was in response to Nicki’s verse on the Gucci Mane collab. She reportedly said that the diss in that song was fired toward Iggy Azalea.
NOW TO THE PEON THAT MADE ME WRITE THIS ENTIRE BEEF BOOK
You probably have no clue who this is.
I don’t blame you. Her name is Khia, and she’s the rapper behind the 2002 song “My Neck, My Back”. Was it a hot song? Yea, when I was a freshman in High School and I’m 30 years old now. This has “has-been attempt” written all over it, but let’s entertain the non sense for sake of this entire post being conjured up due to her thirst.
Now, in the picture above, this old bird has on a tee-shirt that says Papoose AND has a picture of Papoose on it. If you scanned and missed this fact earlier in the post, Papoose is Remy Ma’s husband. Not boyfriend, or even fiance…her husband.Quick history lesson: Remy was sentenced to 8 years in prison for charges of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion in 2008. In what we wanna know terms, she shot a girl she knew over a coin. Papoose faithfully or otherwise held Remy down during her bid. Now, Khia made a video saying that she keeps being asked what she thought about the rap beef heard around the world. And y’all have to listen to her sling shotTing her cookie purse Papoose’s way to see why it irks me so bad. Get a load of it here.
Ok, I try to stay encouraging and inspirational when it comes to women , because we need hella love with the way society is set up. The issue is that Khia is what is wrong with the world. 1st of all no one asked her for her opinion because she hasn’t been relevant since she trick us into believing someone dared travel from her neck …to her back…. and down to that should be condemned & dusty crack of hers. When you did have a hot song (singular) it wasn’t so lyrical that you were dubbed a Queen, princess, dutchess, mistress, or otherwise relevant in Hip Hop. Why would anyone care what you think?
AND TO PUBLICLY COME FOR SOMEONE’S HUSBAND.
She’s definitely a problem. She could’ve attempted to prove her relevance in the game by staying neutral yet giving a “seasoned” female rap artist’s perspective on the battle. She could’ve hopped in the battle and chosen sides. But to catapult your vagina to a married man via social media is a new low even for a bottom of the barrel used to be with one 15 year old hit.
I don’t know if Remy will respond but the people have spoken..and they’re not here for Khia’s thirst.
More issues than Teen Magazine, right? Well If we’re lucky this thing will die down without anyone else begging to be tagged in it. In conclusion, I’m glad someone challenged Nicki…simply because you don’t get the crown without proving you deserve it. It’s hip hop. The industry has been thriving on battles since it all began. What have I learned in this entire ordeal?
- The Barb may be the Queen of something but it’s not Hip Hop.
- Remy may not be the Queen of anything but Petty HOWEVER she is a lyrical beast and
- Foxy Brown …………………….well she tried
- The Game is going to come for Meek Mills for everything until he see’s him
- Khia is what’s wrong with the world and will never regain her relevance through thirst
- Regardless of which industry it is…it’s all entertainment. I hope everyone remembers that.
What were your takeaways from the beef? Are you rooting for anyone? Were you one of the people who prompted Khia’s response? lol
Well, this has been the first Hollywood Tea you’ve sipped with the mob. I hope you’ve had your pinky up!
Until Next Time ❤ ❤ ❤
